Rating: 2.5 Stars
Synopsis: "Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.
That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.
As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.
If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head."

So basically there's a freaking love triangle going on in this book... if I like love triangles?... yes, maybe, sometimes I really do... if I like the love triangle in this book?... not really.
If I'm going to talk to you about the characters then I'm obviously going to start with the main character... Alyssa. You probably read the review I wrote about the first book of the series (if you didn't you should, so just click here to read it), and if you did you probably read what I wrote about the main character... if I'm not totally wrong I said that I kind of liked Alyssa, but that I didn't love her... the feeling about her remains, the thing is... I like her a little less right now, because for some reason Alyssa changed... for some reason she's not anymore a badass, she's basically an afraid teenage girl, she's quite insecure in this book... I don't know, something wasn's right while I was reading it... what the hell did happen to her? I don't freaking know... who knows right? and like if it wasn't enough, like if I was liking her too much, she started annoying me even more... she started talking about Jeb all the time... the only word the seemed to know was JEB, JEB, JEB, JEB!... OK, I don't hate Jeb but right now I kind of hate his name... because come on... HE WAS EVERYWHERE IN THIS BOOK!
I gave to the first book - Splintered - 3.5 stars, and I'm not going to regret it... but I just can't give to this one the same rating, I just can't... I'm about to throw up that boy (if that makes any sense...) I'm sick of hearing his name, I'm sick of everything about Jeb right now... so in my opinion this book just lost quality, the characters lost a HUGE amout of quality too... Alyssa is just a freaking insecure girl who doesn't know anything, she doensn't know if she trusts Morpheus, if she hates him... she's kind of a dumb character... so because of that I decided to give to this book just 2.5 stars, which counts like 3 stars on goodreads.
About the plot of this book... where the hell is the plot of this book? I mean... baaah, I'm honestly dying here because I just can't say to you that this was a great story... the plot of this book just sucks.
I really want to be honest with you and because of that I'm going to tell you that the only character that I truly liked while I was reading this book was Morpheus... I kind of tolerated the other characters.
Believe me when I say that I didn't want to say/write just bad things about this book... I honestly didn't want to, because come on... no one wants to dislike a book... and once again I'm not saying that I hated this book but it kind of disppointed me because I was expecting a little more from this story, I wanted a better plot... I wanted the characters to improve. So right now, I have the third book sitting on my shelf - Ensnared - and I really want to like it, I really don't want that book to disppoint me even more... especially because that cover is awesome, it is soooo beautiful!
PLEASE "ENSNARED" BE AN AWESOME BOOK AND DON'T DISAPPOINT ME!
