“There's nothing worse than waiting and not knowing what'll happen to you. Your own imagination can be crueler than any captor.”
I don't know how to start this review... the only thing in my mind at this moment is: I LOVED THIS BOOK! - and the funny thing in it is that I think that I liked this book even more than I liked the first one... which I thought that was impossible... but probably it's not.
The thing here is that when I read the first book of this series I already had seen the movie... and that was kind of a problem since I already knew the story and even if there were some BIG diferences between the movie and the book I already knew what was going to happen... so maybe my technic e failing.
This time I started reading this book really enthusiastic because I decided that this month I'll read only sequels, because I have a ton of books that are actually sequels and that I didn't read... so yes, you can guess why I'm doing this.
“Everyone has light around them, except for you. You have shadows.”
I'm not sure why I loved this book... I think that that was maybe because it was a really fast reading and because it is really funny.
I really love this story because these vampires are quite different from the other vampires on the tv shows or movies or even other series... so basically I got pretty happy when I started this series... because it was different, and different is good... and I really like Richelle Mead, I think that she's an awesome writter, she can explain perfectly the story and the feelings she wants to transmit...so basically she's brilliant!
This book was really good... I loved pretty much everything in it, I liked the characters... I mean... not every character because I don't really like Lissa... and sometimes Rose is quite nagging, but the difference between Rose and Lissa (in my opinion) is that Rose is provocative and enervating but just sometimes and Lissa is always nagging, enervating and stupid... so yeah, there's a big problem... but I don't really care because even if I don't like Lissa the story is amazing and the characters overall are perfect for this story.
