So, before you start reading this review you need to know something:
1. If you read and liked this book then don't read this because you'll probably hate me forever... and let's be real, you don't want that to happen right?...;
2. If you didn't read this book you are free to read my review about it, but it's not my intention to be spoiler or even a girl who wants you to have the same opinion as mine.
Let's start then...
When I read the first book of this series I really liked it (I gave it 4 stars, so yes... you can imagine my frustration reading this one)... as I said in the review of 'Fallen' I didn't love the book but I can't say that I hated it, I simply liked it... but 'Torment'?! OMG! I think that now I understand the name of the book... it was kind of a real torment to finish it!
When I read in the internet that the movie of the first book was coming out in 2015 I was like excited to read the rest of the series because I want to have read all the books when the movie comes out... so I just put this book in the top of the list because I want to finished the series fast, but now I can say that I don't really know if I'm capable of continueing to read this, at least for now... I mean, I want to read all of the books and I really want to finish the series but I kind of feel that I have better books to read and I start to feel that I'm waisting time reading these ones, so I decided to stop with this series for now, for one month or two...
I was not expecting to love this book, but I was seriously expecting to continue liking the story so this second book was a disappointment for me, I was expecting more from this...
Starting from the moment that you read the synopsis phrase 'Love never dies'... okay, that's cute and that's probably a nudge to read this book... but the thing is that in this book love seems to be a annoying thing which is really bad in my opinion.
Resuming (and I'm seriously not overstating):
- Daniel Grigori comes;
- Daniel Grigori goes;
- Luce misses Daniel;
- Daniel Grigori comes again;
- Luce and Daniel kiss;
- Luce and Daniel have a fight;
- Luce goes;
- Luce almost die;
- Luce lives;
- Daniel Grigori comes;
- Daniel Grigori goes;
- Luce misses Daniel;
- Daniel Grigori comes again;
- Luce and Daniel kiss;
- Luce and Daniel have a fight;
- Luce goes;
- Luce almost die;
- Luce lives....
Okay, I think you understood my point and I really think that I don't need do say anymore to resume the story!
For me this reading was kind of slow; there were a lot of times that I just wanted to skip some pages because I wanted to finish it really fast because I had better books to read; there was moments that I was not reading because it was being a torture, a real torment; and there was that crazy times when I even thought that I was getting mad because I didn't like to read anymore... AND I CAN ASURE YOU that that's not the case... the problem was the book and not me, and guess what? I solved the problem starting reading another one, so no... I'm not sick and I don't need medical assistance!
