“There is no pretending," Jace said with absolute clarity. "I love you, and I will love you until I die, and if there is life after that, I'll love you then."
As always, for me, there's nothing better than reading Cassandra's books... she's a really really good writer and she has a HUGE and beautiful imagination... I love the way she explains the story, I love the way she makes the characters look so real!
When I want to read a book and I don't really want to get disappointed with it I just know that if I read her books I'll never be disappointed because she's just a genius.... and everthing written by her is magical and perfect!
I simply LOVED the first two books of this series ('City of Bones' & 'City of Ashes') and this book was not exception... I loved it so so much. This book is huge... it has 541 pages and maybe if you have not much time to read you'll take a long time too finish this book because it is really big... but the thing is, no matter how much time you take to read it, it will always be an awesome reading and you'll always love it because the story is really good!
As I said before I loved the other two books but I really think that this one was my favorite so far... In this book you'll discover a lot of important things, indispensable factors for the story and if you are like me you'll love those factors! There are new characters in this book, and you'll like them or you'll not (it really may vary)... some characters will (probably) die... some characters will probably change... and maybe you'll love characters that you hated before and you'll hate characters that you loved! This book is FULL of emotions... it was for me and pretty sure that it will be for you too!
“And I'm suppose to sit by while you date boys and fall in love with someone else, get married...?" His voice tightened. "And meanwhile, I'll die a little bit more every day, watching.”
This is going to a be a little confusing but I swear that I will do my best to explain without spoilers....
City of Glass is the perfect sequel to 'City of Ashes'... this time (in my opinion) the story develops faster and better.
So, they are all in New York (their home) when they (the shadowhunters) are attacked (by those monsters that I totally forgot the name) and they have to go to Alicante aka City of Glass. Clary wants to go there because she needs a especial spellbook to save/wake her mother but Jace doesn't want her there because he thinks that that's too dangerous and he doesn't want anything bad to happen to Clary... She discovers that he got to Alincante without saying anything to her and later she discovers that he took Simon with him.
Despite the concern of Jace for his 'sister', Clary doesn't care of what he says and goes to Alicante alone through a portal opened by her (which should be impossible because only warlocks can do it)... and that's basically how they all go to the same place - City of Glass.
“I am a man" he told her, "and men do not consume pink beverages. Get thee gone woman, and bring me something brown.”
This is the 3rd book of a series and because of that I don't have much to say because if I continue talking I'll probably spoil you and I really really wanted my reviews to be spoiler free... sometimes that's not possible and with Cassandra Clare that's almost impossible and really hard to save some things for yourself because you really want to tell everyone what happens and you really want to express how much you loved the story and the book... and I'm in that place right now, because I want to tell you a LOT of things but I can't! So, this review is not going to be too long not because I didn't like the book (I LOVED IT and if I could I had given to it 10 or more stars) but because I don't want to spoil you.
