Title: The Mortal Instruments - City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Clare
My Rating: 5 stars
Genre: Fantasy/Paranormal/Romance/Young Adult
Published: 2007
Series: Yes
I can honestely say that this was the best book I've read until now... and believe me when I say that that's quite ironic since:
First: There was a time when I hated fantasy books, movies, series... pretty much whatever you wanted me to watch or read;
Second: I tried to watch this movie when it came out at the cinema and I just could not bring myself to watch the whole movie... to be honest I think I just watched 10 minutes of the movie, and it's saying much...
Sooooo, this year I forced myself to watch this brilliant story (in film format - I guess you can also call it a 'movie') and guess what? I loved it! I seriously liked the movie, the story, the characters and when I just saw the movie I got hysterical to read the book ... because as everyone knows, the book is always better than the movie.
“Is this the part where you start tearing off strips of your shirt to bind my wounds?"
"If you wanted me to rip my clothes off, you should have just asked.”
I can't say to you what I loved the most in this book... because, no kidding, I loved everything!
I loved Jace... and if you read this book you already know why I loved him, if you don't you have two options:
1 - read the book... NOW;
2- read the quote above... that one I wrote like 15 seconds ago;
I loved the story;
I loved Clary, even if sometimes she was kind of annoying... I pretty much loved everything about this book.
“If you were half as funny as you think you are, you'd be twice as funny as you are now.”
You cannot believe in what I'm going to say, but this book was one of the few books that changed my mind about fantasy, fairies, magic, werewolves, vampires... and that kind of thing that normally is really tiring... on second thought this one the only one that changed my mind... since I normally hate fairies and that kind of stuff.
