So today I'm not talking about reading, or about how I liked some book or how I loved some hot and cute character... today I'm starting something quite new that I don't know if anyone did it before or not, but right now... I really don't care.
Today I'm going to talk about miss Emma Chase.
As a reviewer I read a good amount of books, so I read a little of every genre and I enjoy quite everything I read... but there're some authors that I like more than others and I have to say that Emma Chase is one of my favorite authors. I have three authors from who I tend to want to read everything they publish and those authors are Cassandra Clare, Jennifer L. Armentrout and of course, Emma Chase. I have to admit that I only read two books written by this author, I read "Tangled" and I read "Twisted", and I'm currently reading the third book... I'm currently reading "Tamed". "Tied", the fourth book of this series (and, if I'm not totally wrong, the last one) is sitting in my shelf waiting for me to read it, as soon as I finish the book I'm reading right now I'm sure that I'll keep going with the series and I'll read the last book.
In my opinion, when you read something written by Emma Chase, you automatically fall in love with everything that she wrote. You fall in love with the characters, you fall in love with the way the writes... because she's a good author, she writes with her heart, Emma not only creates a character for her new book, I think that she actually gives life to a character, she makes a simple imaginary character look alive and real... she believes in her stories and that's what makes her books so awesome.
If you're not a reviewer you may not understand what I'm going to say right now, but it's really good when you read a book from one of your favorite authors, when you write a review and when that author actually reads the review and give you some feedback... and as I said before I wrote a TONNE of reviews, I published a lot of them on my blog, goodreads, twitter and facebook and I never saw one author giving away so much love as Emma Chase did to me. When I published my review of the book "Twisted" on facebook my mom (yes, my mom... don't judge ok?) actually shared it on twitter... and hours later she called me and she said to me "Landa, look... Emma Chase actually favorited your review and she retweeted it too"and I got quite happy ok? I know that some authors can give their love but just the fact that Emma is one of my ultimate favorite authors... I don't know, it blew me away. Later I went to goodreads and I saw that Emma did "like" my review, yep, that time I got not only happy, but I also got quite steric.
Some days passed and I sent a message to Emma, I said to her how much I liked her books, I said to her a lot of true stuff... and somehow I mentioned that I had a collection of bookmarks which is quite hard to maintain since I only read in english (and because of that my bookmarks are the english vertion of the books I read, of course), and since I live in Portugal... you can guess how difficult it is to find bookmarks for my beautiful collection. So I talked to her about my reviews, the collection, her books... and TODAY I received a letter of miss Emma Chase, I almost screamed believe me... soooo, I opened the letter and there were BOOKMARKS! SIGNED BOOKMARKS!

It was an important gesture for me, because you can try to talk with a lot of authors, you can say whatever you want, you can say that you love them, and I'm not going to say that they are rude, but some of them just don't reply, and some of them don't are bestselling authors, some of them don't receive as much messages as probably Emma Chase does, or Jennifer Armentrout, come on, they are known authors, I bet that they receive a lot of messages and they are not required to reply, I mean, now I'm talking about Emma or Jennifer but I could talk about Marissa Meyer, she's an awesome and a nice person, and we all know that she probably receives a tonne of mails per day, I don't know about other people, other reviewers, but when it comes to me... she replied one message that I sent to her a lot of time ago... maybe she didn't replied it right away, but she did it, one way or another... she talked to me, and I talked to her... and I think that it's really good when authors just appreciate people talking to them, when they appreciate when people read their books and when people actually review them.
SO, today I talked about Emma Chase, maybe one day I'll talk about other author, because I know that Emma is not the only one giving her love away!
With all of this I just wanted to thank Emma for her "support", for being an awesome author and an awesome person.
