“You are the shuckiest shuck faced shuck in the world!”
What is this book about?
This book is about a boy who wakes somewhere he doesn't know (altough it seems like an elevator) and without memory, the only thing he can remeber is his own name, Thomas.
When the doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by some other teen boys, they called that place "The Glade".
Those boys were living there for 2 years and every month the elevator rises with a new boy.
The Glade is something quite misterious and no one can remember what happened and what are they doing there... the only thing they know is that on the other side of the walls of the Glade there's a maze, but that maze isn't the same every day... during the night, while the boys are sleeping, the maze changes.
The boys are divided into groups, and the most important group is called "The Runners". Those boys have to find the way out, so they run into the maze, they try to escape and to find the way out for them and for the others... but there's a problem, they have to do it quickly because they have to return to the Glade before the big doors of the maze close, otherwise they get stuck into the maze while it is changing and with some creatures called "The Grivers" and they have a huge probability of dying.

“If you ain’t scared… you ain’t human.”
So, I have to be honest, I don't think that it was the best book I ever read or anything like that, I mean, I loved it, that's for sure, I can consider it one of my favorite books... but I've read better.
I watched the movie before I read the book and that's what I normaly do even if that's not the correct way... but this time I really think that it was a good thing to do because I watched the movie and I started reading the book the next day.. and believe me, they are completely different from each other, and that made me like even more the book.
I heard a LOT of good things about this story, about the plot, about the characters and I agree with every person who loved this book and with every reason they had to do it... but I don't know, I mean... it is a dystopian and I'm a huge fan of dystopias... it is like a "game/test" which remembers me of "The Hunger Games"... but I really loved "The Hunger Games" more than I loved this book, I know that I shouldn't be comparing these two books because they are a lot different and please don't get me wrong, but I just can't stop thinking about that beautiful and awesome trilogy written by Suzanne Collins when I think about "The Maze Runner".
About the characters:
So, yes... I didn't like all of the characters. Maybe I didn't like the main character as much as I wanted to (of course that I LOVED the main character when I watched the movie because Thomas was DYLAN O'BRIEN!!!! and come on... who doesn't love Dylan?!)...
I hated (and when I say that I hated I really mean HATED) Gally... come on, he is one of the main characters, I know, maybe I was supposed to hate Gally because he is a bad guy (I'm sorry for the spoiler)... but I didn't like Alby too... I didn't hate him, but at the beginning of the book I really didn't like him, I just wanted him to die!
Once again, I have to say that I LOVED this book okay? I know that I said some "bad things" about it, I said that I hated one character, I said that I didn't like two of the main characters, and I said that I've read better... but I loved it anyways and I gave to it 5 stars because I really enjoyed reading this book!
FINALLY, I honestly recommed this book to every dystopia/sci-fi genre lover... because it was really good and I really enjoyed reading it! AND, I'm not gonna say that James Dashner is a genius because (even if he is) I want to read the other two books first since I was expecting a little tiny more from this one.
