Synopsis: "What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors.
Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles.
Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect.
Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets."

“What a joke! Poor little rich girl's fallen in love with the Republic's most famous criminal.”
My opinion about this book is pretty clear! I totally LOVED it.
I have to admit that when I started read the book I was quite septic because even if I love dystopias I thought that this one was going to be a copy of "The Hunger Games" trilogy or even a mix of "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" don't ask me why... but I was wrong! This book was completely original and I never read anything like this.
I enjoyed every moment/part of this book... I started reading it and then I continued reading it and reading it... and when I noticed I was already reading the last paragraph... which means that I basically read 305 pages in 3 hours.
I KNOW! You are probably thinking that I have no life... but I have life, I just had some time to read and I took some advantage of it!.. or maybe you are right and I don't have a life.
“Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything's possible again. You live in the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all one day at a time. -Day"
I think that I loved everything about this book. I really enjoyed the plot, I liked the characters (obviously that I didn't like the bad guys, but I think that no one does)...
The most important thing, in my opinion, when someone is reading a book is to like the main characters and I really did, I really liked them even if at the beginning I was a little reticent about the female character because I was seriously not trusting her, but then, June made some things that I liked and I started liking her and I actually stared getting a connection with her... so yes girl, you rule!
“I don't know if anyone's ever told you this", he begins. He doesn't blush, and his eyes don't dart away. Instead I find myself staring into a pair of oceans - one perfect, the other blemished by that tiny ripple. "You're very attractive."
I really love book covers, I always have and I think that I always will... so I want to talk a little about it.
I think that this book cover is awesome... I mean it is quite simple, it only has 2 or 3 colors... but I can't stop me from loving it, in my sincere opinion it is beautiful and it really represents prefectly the story of the book... I can't explain why, I just think that it explains really well the book.

So I really recommend this book to everyone especially if you are a dystopia genre lover! It is really really good (at least for me) and it is one of the books that I want everyone to read...
