Synopsis: "Alexi Littrell hasn't told anyone what happened to her over the summer. Ashamed and embarrassed, she hides in her closet and compulsively scratches the back of her neck, trying to make the outside hurt more than the inside does.
When Bodee Lennox, the quiet and awkward boy next door, comes to live with the Littrells, Alexi discovers an unlikely friend in "the Kool-Aid Kid," who has secrets of his own. As they lean on each other for support, Alexi gives him the strength to deal with his past, and Bodee helps her find the courage to finally face the truth."

So, first things first... when I bought this book I wanted to love it, and I'm going to be totally honest with you about this book. I liked the story, I kind of liked the main character and all of that, but I didn't love it, it was NOT one of my favorite books... I enjoyed reading it I think that it was a really good reading, but I really didn't love it.
Since the beginning that I knew what was going to happen at the end of the book, it was so predictible in my opinion... I knew what have happened to the main character in the past, I knew who Capitain Lyrics was and I didn't need to read spoiler to find that... I just knew everything, and I don't like to know what is going to happen at the end of a book when I'm currently reading only the first 10 pages of it, it's a shame honestly.
What I really liked about this book was the way it was written and the way it was "written" (once again) to show to the world the problems about rape and about damaged families and all that stuff.
It is a realistic fiction story, I normally don't like this type of books, but this year (I don't know why), I've been learning to like it, I mean, I read some realistic fiction books this year and I liked most of them, so I'm pretty impressed with myself... which means that 4 stars is not a bad score at all when it is about ME rating a REALISTIC FICTION story.
