“Silence fell between us. This was a common occurrence whenever we’re alone. When you’re comfortable with someone, you don’t need to always fill the void with noise. I liked it when we would just be.”
I seriously don't have much to say about this book, I mean, it was really cute and the story was lovely... the characters were perfect and everything but... I don't know what to think about it...
So basically it was my first Elizabeth Eulberg's book, I didn't know what to expect of it, I didn't know what kind of 'realistic fiction' it was going to be and all that stuff... so I don't know if I'm surprised with it or not, if I liked it or not... honestly I don't know anything about my opinion about it because I really think that I don't have one!
“I am not complete without you.”
Even if I don't know perfectly what I think about this story I'll try my best to explain to you the plot and I'll try my best trying to tell you what did I think about it (understood?!).
SOO, the story is told by the (two) main characters... it's like in the first chapter (for example) it is 'narrated' by Levi (the masculine main character of this story) and in the next chapter the story is 'narrated' by Macallan (the feminine main character of this story).
These two characters are now best friends, it was 'friends at first sight' and as they are super close their familes got super close too...
Even if everyone says that girls and boys can NEVER be just friends with these two teens the story is different, they are just friends, they are best friends!
During 3 years Macallan and Levi were friends, they did everything together, they talked to each other like brother and sister, they shared stuff... but one day Macallan realized that she was falling in love with Levi but she decided that she'd never tell him... meanwhile Levi realized the same thing... what will happen?!
“We'd hit rock bottom, but this is what is found there. The truth.”
I'm not a great storyteller so yes, if you didn't understand a thing of what I said then I'm really sorry, you can always read the synopsis or read some summaries of the book... I don't know... the thing is, I didn't love the book, I simply enjoyed it... I'm not giving to it more than 3.5 stars because I don't think that this story was perfectly created; I don't think that anything in this book deserves more than 3.5 stars... I mean, maybe the cover deserves more than it, in my opinion it is really cute and I have the hardback edition of the book which means that it is even more beautiful... it is colorfull and cute...
If I recommend this book to anyone? Well, I don't know... maybe I would. I'm a little doubtful when it is about realistic fiction because I'm not the biggest fan of this genre so yes, if you like this kind of book then go ahead and read it, you'll probably love it, after all I have nothing against this story I just didn't love it... if you don't like this kind of book I would probably not recommend it to you but you can also read it and draw your own opinion about it!
