I'm going to be completly honest with you, it took me a while to read this book. I started reading "A Game of Thrones" in December of 2014 if I'm not wrong... and I just finished it now, in March... so yes, it took me a while to finish this book, but it was awesome and it was so worth it!
I already knew the story, of course, because of the TV show, and I really wanted to read this series because of the TV show (again)... and it didn't disppoint me, not a bit... I totally loved the book, the story and the plot, it is so well written!
I'm pretty sure that everyone knows what this book is about and because of that I'm not going to explain the story to you... because of that and because it is almost impossible to describe this plot to anyone.
I wanted to read this book for a while, I wanted to know if there were too many differences between the book and the TV show and I have to say that no, there aren't too many differences bewteen the first book of the series and the first season of the TV show. Some people said that there are a lot of differences between the rest of the books and the rest of the seasons of this TV show, it's like, the first book is the same as the first season, the second book is the same as the second season, but the rest of seasons have some elements that are not written in the books, and the books (obviously, because it is always this way) have some elements that are not in the TV show.
This is that kind of book that everyone seem to love, so basically if you don't LOVE this book you probably hate it, because it is one of those cases that there is no "half term"... it's like you love it or you hate it, even if most part of the people just love it.
Obviously that I'll recommend this book to you, but I have to warn you, THIS SERIES IS PRETTY LONG... I mean, it is seriously HUGE... and every book has a monstruous amount of pages with little tiny letters... so, if you want to start reading this awesome story... GOOD LUCK mate!
