“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive.”
The truth is that I started reading this book a long time ago... it was like February or March 2014... and now I decided to give it a try (again) because I don't feel well knowing that I have this book on my shelf because I wanted to read it and then I didn't want it anymore... so here I am doing a review of this book after I read it... the whole book... that book that I was hating... (and I'm not anymore).
The other time, when I was reading it for the first time... I thought that this book had too much teenage drama... and believe me when I say that I still think that there's a LOT of teenage drama going on on this book! But this time it is different maybe because I learnt how to understand the teenage problems even if those problems are a little 'stupid' for me... and mostly I learnt that every problem is a problem even if they are not 'important' for you... they are, eventually, important to other people.
Once again I'm here saying that I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of 'realistic fiction' but I think that I'm being converted because if you've told me like one or two months ago that I would like 'We Were Liars' or 'Looking For Alaska' the thing that I would say to you would probably be something like 'you are freaking crazy' because there was NO WAY for me to like this kind of stories... I just can't deal with drama (yes, I can be a drama queen but I don't really like being around other drama queens).
“Thomas Edison's last words were 'It's very beautiful over there'. I don't know where there is, but I believe it's somewhere, and I hope it's beautiful.”
So basically all that I said (wrote) up there was just to say that I enjoyed this book after all... so yes auntie (yes... my aunt liked this book... and I judged her... a lot), it's difficult for me to admit but you were right! This book was pretty cool and I really enjoyed reading it and now I'm capable of understanding this kind of teenage drama (drugs and alchool... the only two things I think I'll never understand...)
After all... I'm here to say that YES, I liked the book but NO... I didn't love it and I just can't give it more than 3.5 stars which believe me... for someone like me that's a GREAT score!
“I'm really not up for answering any questions that start with how, when, where, why or what.”
